I jumped in the deep end this past weekend, so to speak, and recorded my first video blog (vlog). In it, you'll get to meet Jim the Dexcom CGM, be irritated by the amount of times I say "Um" and "So....", and witness me tearing apart (accidentally) a Dexcom sensor.
Nice job! And don't worry, I won't tell the FDA. :)ReplyDelete
Yay, Kim! Excellent debut vlog post. My personal record is 19 days. And I use Tegaderm (shamless unasked plug).ReplyDelete
Nicely done on the debut Vlog, Kim! I am SO stealing that idea for my own intro one later in the week, once I get up and running on the trial-run of the Minimed CGM. Two birds, one videoblog. Oh, and I won't tell the FDA or your Dex-trainer, either.. and will hope they get all Men In Black mind-wiped once they see this post!ReplyDelete
Thanks for the kind words, all!ReplyDelete
Well Done Kim!ReplyDelete
Welcome to the Vlogging world! Very cool!!!ReplyDelete
And I don't even have a Dexcom...
You are a natural at vlogging!! Go you! I bet a lot of Dex users will really benefit from your tips too.ReplyDelete
That reminds me, I once spaced out while putting on a new sensor and kinda screwed it up (I think I blanked on having to pull back that bit of plastic that removes the needle and started to remove the applicator first? Genius.), and so I was looking at it to see if anything was wrong... and I saw this little piece of something sticking out, and I was like, is that a little shred of plastic? I'll just pull it of and... HOLY CRAP, I JUST PULLED THE SENSOR WIRE OUT! It was kind of a disconcerting moment. :)ReplyDelete
I appreciate the video. I have only been wearing a CGM for a month now, and could use all the tips you've got. I'm also a brand new T1, so I'll be checking your site for any tips. Thanks a bunch!
