Today's prompt: Inspired by the Diabetes 365 project, let’s snap a few more d-related pictures and share them again. Post as many or as few as you’d like. Be creative! Feel free to blog your thoughts on or explanations of your pictures. Or leave out the written words and let the pictures speak for themselves.

A sure sign that 23 days is far too long to wear a Dexcom sensor.
(But it was a new record!)

  6. Wow 23days? Does wearing it that long irritate your skin?

  7. Hey Pearlsa! The last time I wore a sensor this long, I did have some issues with the skin being bright red and irritated under the adhesive. This time (at least, so far - just realized I haven't looked at my leg in several hours) it seems to have been okay. *shrugs*

  9. Harry's went for 23 days one time, too!! We were so excited. Many times it is right on at the end of the second week and into the third week. He is on Medicare and they don't recognize the need for a sensor so we pay for everything. How sad they they don't realize that the Dexcom is saving them from the expense of an ambulance and an emergency room visit. We keep hoping that it will change.
