All 3 boys were a healthy, normal weight, even though everyone thought they'd be huge because of my diabetes. Just be ready for the lows after you deliver ... this go around mine lasted for almost a month before leveling back out. I was up to almost 3x my daily insulin by the 3rd trimester! My boys were taking EVERYTHING ... they weighed 7 lbs 4 oz, and 6 lbs, and I only gained 24!

Hang in there!! You're doing great! Can't wait to "meet" her!Shannonhttp://nomoreshotsforshannon.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7860126842626343555.post-48537173383788793812013-07-06T12:48:53.280-05:002013-07-06T12:48:53.280-05:00Tiger momma or no, your little girl will ROAR beca...Tiger momma or no, your little girl will ROAR because she's gonna be a leo and we just do that sometimes when we feel awesome (or when we want to feel braver than we do). ;)Auntly Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13271658451098055528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7860126842626343555.post-15200463546210021802013-07-02T22:09:03.333-05:002013-07-02T22:09:03.333-05:00Not to freak you out but I was measuring a week or...Not to freak you out but I was measuring a week or two ahead most of my pregnancy (I am also type 1) and at 36 weeks they did an ultrasound and estimated my son to be 9lbs 12oz. That was at 36 weeks! Anyway, they said he would be 12 pounds if I went to 39 or 40 weeks so they got me in for an amnio to check his lungs and he was good, so we did a scheduled c section at 37 weeks. He was 9.9 but I think that was inflated because of how much water I was retaining and they said he was extra puffy too. It went great and healing wasn't that bad. You will be fine either way!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05910986131516689371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7860126842626343555.post-30698686368644706672013-07-02T15:12:49.271-05:002013-07-02T15:12:49.271-05:00Soooo close! Not pre-eclampsia, just my own BP wanted to go bonkers. 2 weeks of bedrest, and then scheduled c-section at 37 weeks and 1 day (due to previous fibroid surgery, diabetes wasn't really the cause of the decision) and out came our wonderful and healthy little girl! So excited for you, and can't wait for you to join the club of "oh yeah, THAT'S what it's like having a baby!" (because no matter how "ready" and prepared you think you are, you never are - no one is! :)Rhonda Bhttp://www.15wait15.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7860126842626343555.post-22141681131106958702013-07-02T15:07:44.741-05:002013-07-02T15:07:44.741-05:00Very timely post!!! Not wishing for it to be over but would be happy to have her very soon. My sugars haven't been so great this week but my endo just adjusted basals so I think that will help.
You look great, mama! Before you know it, we will be holding our sweet little ladies and forget about the last 9 (or 10) months of diabetic torture!! The leg cramps that make me jump out of bed and do the "oh my gosh that hurts so much" dance are not my friends. Oh, and the constant heartburn, yeah, don't get me started. ;) You look great though!
