This is what comes to mind when I think about what people with diabetes might have on their wish lists this holiday season.
This is also what happens when I have a respectable amount of caffeine and cabin fever.
Happy Holidays (a wee bit early)! :)
I have those "fingerless gloves" and they are great! I was able to test my blood sugar while driving the other day. (Kids, do not try this at home.)
ReplyDeletehow about scarves with pockets for a dex com 7 glucose sensor???
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile this morning!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on Q's request from Santa this year. Nothing to do with diabetes, but actually ties into DOC-awesomeness.
And people wonder why I don't film myself!!! Kimpants you are awesome. I loved the, "Keep your eyes up here!" and your fear of saying while you have your pump happily nestled in your bra or cleavage. But you made the uncomfortable effort. Butt cheeks all around.
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh, the "Ka-Pow" caused me to laugh... out loud... while drinking water... in front of my computer. Hilarious. And for the record, the giant blue and white gloves that look like they're hand-made? I totally have those! They are so big and bulky and do NOT keep my hands warm at all. But they are soooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Word. My 6-yr-old will LOVE you. I knitted mittens for her and her older sister last year for the, say, 3 days it might possibly snow in N AL. Those still fit them. But she TOTALLY needs that kind. This means she gets new mittens. Victoria might possibly get a pair, too, if I have enough yarn....
ReplyDeleteHayley
Thanks for the smiles and giggles this damp and dreary day in NH.
ReplyDeleteMan, why don't they make LEATHER hand covers (aka mittens....). I desire a smidge more fashion in my useful-for-finger-pricking hand covers :)
ReplyDeletePS - Thanks for the encouragement!
ahah you are SO AWESOME! :) love it!
ReplyDeleteI live in Nebraska. And I've used "glittens" (gloves/mittens) for years to check my BG. Love this. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad I have a chest at the end of my bed to store my collection of "glittens" that I can't stop buying at Target but really have no use for in Florida.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about a fingerless glove that I just can't resist.
A big Christmas hug to you Kim! The fingerless gloves are brilliant!
ReplyDeletehave i told you lately that i freaking love you? cause i do. thanks for making me laugh, yet again. :)
ReplyDeleteSara - sounds like you need to make a trip to Nebraska to legitimize those glitten purchases.
ReplyDeleteThanks all! :)
love the video! and such wonderful gift ideas. i hope Santa leaves me some "glittens" in my stocking this year 8) as it snowed here this morning, they sure would come in handy!
ReplyDeleteLove this video!! I never thought of getting fingerless mittens to facilitate ease of checking blood sugar levels. Now I'm going to HAVE to ask for some. They make it easy to text AND check your level. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteyou are amazing. thanks for making me laugh.
